All is well..and we’re out of danger
Well we managed only a few light showers today, the creek is almost back to normal and whilst everything is extremely soggy and damp (and mildew seems to be taking over)…we’re in the clear. I’m heading back to work in the morning, and hopefully on the weekend, we’ll be able to get into the shed unpack it all and check out the damage from the water that came through on the floor (it’s still very wet in there).
Thanks to all who have contacted us to see how we are, your thoughts and well wishes are greatly appreciated.
Someone’s looking out for QLD now, the peak didn’t hit he 1974 level as expected today, which considering the extra damage it would have done is a godsend. Unfortunately the face of Brisbane will be marked for sometime to come with the city cat services all but completely, the potential deliberate sinking of the riverwalk, mogill ferry and the party boat, the iconic drift restaurant which sank earlier today and the very real fact that there is going to be a lot of damage to infrastructure, homes and the loss of life.
We’re going to try and assist where we can when we are able to get through, so please bear with us as we get back on board, get ourselves set up again and try and help our friends and family suffering at this time.
Take care
Tina
