Woke up to blue skies this morning…getting a little rain now.. but we’re not too concerned yet.. the creek receded about 3m last night, so for a while at least we’re safe. Still can’t open the workshop until things dry up a little, but we can take all our irreplaceables down for now.
Please keep in your thoughts the people of Brisbane, Lockier Valley, Ipswich and Caboolture, it is going to be a really rough ride for them over the next 24-48 hrs at the waters rise around them. Friends in Toowong are locked into the unit with no way out, friends Jindalee have been evacuated, people are trapped everywhere. We are hoping for the best and for at least the rain to stop so that the water levels won’t get as high as expected…
There is a flood appeal open for those who are affected, anyone that is able can donate through the premiers flood appeal on the government website.
